Jerome Sabejeje

PHD Student

Jerome Sabejeje is a PhD student in Department of Chemistry, University of the Western Cape,

South Africa. He earned his master’s degree in Inorganic Chemistry from prestigious University

of Ibadan, Ibadan, Nigeria (the first University in Nigeria) in 2008 and bachelor’s degree in

Chemistry from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Nigeria in 2004. Prior to that, he obtained

Nigeria Certificate in Education in Biology/Chemistry from foremost Adeyemi Federal College

of Education, Ondo, Nigeria in 1998. He is an academic who has authored and co-authored over

ten publications and presented in several academic conferences. He received National Youth

Service Corps (NYSC) state award as best male corps member in Yobe State, Nigeria in 2005

and best graduating student award from his department in 2004. His current research interest is

on application of electrocatalysts and catalyst support materials in solving energy challenges

using fuel cells. He is a professional member of Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria

(TRCN) and International Society of Electrochemistry (ISE).
